About Başakşehir

The Basaksehir area, located on Istanbul’s European side, has a very contemporary and sophisticated infrastructure that draws local and foreign investors from all over the world. It is one of the most important sections in Istanbul’s European side, consisting of 39 (municipal) districts spanning over the European and Asian continents on both sides of the city.

Basaksehir is bordered by lush green trees to the north. Across the year, it is covered in cypress trees, pine trees, and evergreen trees, and a river runs through the region. There is also a dam along the river, which feeds into Kucukcekmece Lake, producing lovely natural places throughout the district, in addition to a big artificial lake.
